Kingston Lacey
A Timeless Jewel - Exploring the History, Gardens, and Art of a National Trust Treasure
Nestled amidst the idyllic Dorset countryside, Kingston Lacey is a timeless jewel that beckons visitors to explore its rich history, enchanting gardens, and impressive art collection. This National Trust treasure boasts an exquisite 17th-century mansion, home to the Bankes family for over 300 years, where each room tells a unique story of family, politics, and cultural exchange. Strolling through the vast estate, you can't help but be captivated by the stunning landscape, which includes manicured lawns, vibrant flower beds, and ancient woodland - all providing a picturesque backdrop for this magnificent country retreat.
Kingston Lacey is a glorious place for photography at any time of the year but none can beat Spring, it’s the bees knees and talking of which, I saw my first bee whilst walking around the grounds.
