Sod it, I am giving up on bigger newsletters published once a week and cutting back on “traditional” social media in favour of this platform, Substack. I am keen to share my photographic forays with a smaller hopefully more engaged audience. So I may just post these every other day or when I have a flurry of photography to share.
I haven’t seen a classic car in ages and strangely later in the day we took a closer look at a modern electric car. We are considering going electric next year when we change our current car.
I always take a low angle shot of cars, the camera was practically on the ground when I took this shot and the owner had walked away to get a coffee from the nearby (excellent Titchfield Cafe).
Over the weekend we went out on a trip to the local Hampshire coast, stopping off briefly at Titchfield Haven, Meon Shore and Lee-on-the-solent. Later we stopped at Wickham on our way home to North Hampshire and popped into Chessapeak Mill.
Look carefully at this photo and you’ll see in one single frame black-headed gulls (winter plumage), Plover and what looks like a sleeping Shelduck in the opposite corner. I only noticed the gulls whilst taking the photo. So was delighted when viewing the downloaded file later on my big screen.
The Solent was almost as still as a millpond, not quite but it was a beautifully calm day with a crisp air. In the distance on the horizon, you can see Lee-on-the-Solent and on the right a hazy Isle of Wight. I did take some other shots looking the other way but this frame works best.
I am looking forward to arranging photowalks in the future, please ket me know if you’d like to come along on one. Once the vaccine is rolled out and we are all safe, then I shall be rambling the UK as a whole!!!
Enjoyed this then why not subscribe? If you have, then thanks!
Nice post Nick. As I am stuck in a lot at the moment I find myself travelling around the UK vicariously through you're blogs. Keep it up. I know blogging is hard work but we do appreciate it.
