#1: The Village Hall
There is a time of day when beautiful light is not just a delight for the outdoors but can create real atmosphere indoors too...
Since we’ve moved house, I am going to kick off something new (again) and share our adventures in the new area where we now live. I am excited about this because it’s all very fresh. There are photographic possibilities, walks aplenty, great nature and some fascinating history to unearth.
The story begins with our local village hall, just a short walk from our house.
We were at the hall this past weekend on Easter Sunday, and just after taking the above photo, we began setting up the venue for a certain someone’s 50th birthday party, err, my own as it happens! It was a great night but I shall spare you those photographs.
I loved this moment because the light was coming through the windows at a lovely angle and illuminated the interior in such a delightful way. The curtains looking like they were almost about to open!
The Hall was built in 1911 and is a non-profit registered charity completely run by donations, event bookings and so on. It was a great night by the way!
